Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies

This recipe is for anyone who loves chocolate chip cookies, not just those of us who are gluten free. My thoughtful daughter gave it to me for Christmas in a Mason Jar with a bow tied around it. It had the ingredients in the jar on one side and the few things I needed to add on the other side. They rival if not beat the taste of the Toll-House cookie recipe for chocolate chip cookies.

Give them as a gift to your Gluten-free friend or family member :-)

Gluten-Free Chocolate Chip Cookies (in a jar)

1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup sugar
3/4 cup rice flour
3/4 cup of soy flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup chocolate chips

(These were not in the jar and had to be added by me)
1/4 cup of butter or margarine (melted)
1 large egg
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 cup of milk

Mix it all together in a mixing bowl and dollop spoon-sized blobs of cookie dough onto a baking sheet. Bake in a 350-degree oven for 14 minutes or until golden brown. Allow to cool for a few minutes, and then enjoy.
